Thissio
We are in a small district in the center of Athens.
In the left of us (or in our right - depending on where you are placed ) is Monastiraki and Kerameikos and we will visit them next time !
We are located northwest of the Acropolis, which is visible from almost every point of the area ... As a pedestrian road , you adore walking !
The area got its name from the temple of Hephaestus, who was in front of the performances of feats of Theseus ..
So the district was named Thiseio.... in a wrong way , as it would normally be called "Volcano" !
You will get to the neighborhood of the Observatory and one of the most tourist streets is " Athinas " . There we meet monuments and archaeological findings , which are all around us!
Full of restaurants, cafes, tourist shops and shops of all kinds the pedestrian Thission is one the busiest streets - especially during the summer months , without losing winter lovers of walks ..
From the pedestrian Thission we Keep going up to the Supreme Court ( Areios Pagos ) .This is the historic court of ancient Greeks .It's a rock with a great historic charm ...
